Kim Quang Temple’s Fundraising Committee

Dear Friends, Prospective player or Prospective Sponsor:

The Kim Quang Temple’s (KQT) Fundraising Committee is proud to present the First Kim Quang Classic Golf Tournament.  We are seeking sponsorship from your organization to raise fund through this fundraising tournament for the reconstruction of our Temple. 

Kim Quang Temple is the oldest Vietnamese Buddhist Temple in Sacramento. The Temple was created in 1978 when the Vietnamese Buddhist Community in Sacramento purchased a house built in the 1950s on Alta Arden Expressway and temporarily converted it into a place of worship. Over the years, the Temple has tirelessly served the community while quietly awaiting for a much needed face-lift. In December 2003, The KQT Construction Committee was established to plan and design the reconstruction of the Temple. After two years of design and permit applications with Sacramento County, the Construction Committee is expecting to receive permission for this reconstruction effort in January 2006. Thus, the remaining effort is to raise sufficient fund for the actual reconstruction of the Temple.      

First Kim Quang Classic Golf Tournament is one of those upcoming events planned by the Fundraising Committee to generate funds for the reconstruction effort. This fundraising golf match will be held at the Teal Bend Golf Club in Sacramento on Sunday, May 4^th, 2008, from 1PM to 7PM. The event will feature 2-Man Scramble format, closest to the Pin / target, Longest drive, and Putting Contest. This is a very nice course and we are expecting many players participate.    

On behalf of the KQT Fundraising Committee, we would like to invite your organization to participate in the First Kim Quang Classic Golf Tournament through your sponsorship and generous support. All of our sponsor will have their company’s logo printed on the tournament posters and flyers and exposed it to the Vietnamese community. We will be announcing our gratitude all sponsored company’s logo in our website, www.kimquang.org, and newsletters as well as GĐPT yearbook. Furthermore, organizations with a sponsorship of at least $500 will receive two complimentary VIP green fee and gift (worth $250) to the tournament. . The deadline for sponsorship is April 20^th, 2008.
